Seniors & Children

Our senior community

Over the last five years Councilor Rotondo has worked diligently for the senior community in Revere. As part of my efforts, I was able to:

  • Obtained increased police patrols at the Massachusetts General Hospital Health Center to protect our seniors going to outpatient appointments.
  • Advocated for greater prescription coverage for our retirees and obtained fuel assistance funding for our senior through Capic.
  • Advocate for increased federal and state assistance for home care services so our seniors can remain at home with their loved ones during a time when they most need family support.
  • Advocated for the senior works program in the to help defray taxes in lieu of cleaning Revere parks.

Our youth initiatives and youth organizations

In the same five years, Councilor Rotondo also remained focused on the future of Revere, our children.  As Ward 4 Councilor he:

  • Supported the development of Revere’s new school program, resulting in the completion of the West Revere School Complex, the Rumney Marsh Academy and the future Paul Revere Schools.
  • Secured $150,000 in state funding to repair Hill Park.
  • Supported the Refurbishing of Ciarlone Park
  • Support the Summer Camp program at the Garfield school
  • Support full day Kindergarten programs in our schools
